A friend told me that one time in a bar in the south of China he saw a sign which read,“Ladies are requested not to have children in the bar.”In English“have a child”means to“生孩子”.The sign should have read“Ladies(Parents)are requested not to bring children in the bar.”
一位朋友告诉我一次在中国南部的一家酒吧里他看到了一张牌子上仁写着:“La-dies are requested not to have children in the bar.(女士们请勿在酒吧里生孩子)”在英语中“have a child”是指“生孩子”。这张牌子应该这样写:"Ladies (Parents) are requested not to bring children in the bar.(女士们或家长请勿把孩子带进酒吧)”
