相关英语报道:

A Chinese newspaper has drawn a wave of online criticism after its reporters took photos of deceased popular singer Yao Beina as she lay in a mortuary. Later it apologized for taking the photos, but the question is, should celebrities have a right to privacy? How far should the paparazzi be allowed to go? You're welcome to leave your comments.

1. Vincent (China)

Everyone has a right to privacy and the paparazzi should not be allowed to interfere in their lives. They should be arrested and fined for invading the privacy of others and the magazines who buy the pictures should be sued as well. Why should actors be treated like this? Just because they earn more money or because of what? I think it is unfair because the paparazzi are killing the actors and pushing them too far.

2.  Vicki (UK)

Any celebrity knows perfectly well that when they are famous, the press is gonna try and dig out all the secrets from their private life, but I do think that some things should be private because we are all human!

3. Hannan (US)

I think that it seems a bit unfair that the press is too hard on the celebs. Some celebs just want to sing, or act, not be a red-carpet walking person. They're just doing something that they really love as an activity and are so good that they are famous for it.

4. Linda (UK)

Even though they should have a right to their privacy, the reality is that once you put yourself in the spotlight you must expect a certain amount of attention in your personal life. It's the price you pay for having such a high profile occupation/lifestyle.

5. Alan (France)

Whether by aiming for high positions or for moments in the spotlight, celebrities of all kinds strive to be stars, to be heard and recognized. However, this doesn't mean that the intrusion of every detail of their private lives becomes justifiable. Those actors, celebrities and politicians are humans too. They do need their own privacy and they have the right to it, just like any other person.

6. Crazy (US)

Members of the paparazzi should be arrested for stalking. I believe that celebrities should have a right to privacy. Honestly, if I followed some random person around and took pictures of them, I would be put on trial faster than I could say, "but the paparazzi do it". Doing it to famous people should not be allowed.

7. Oshuy (Netherlands)

French law states that taking a picture of you while you are in your home/car ... (anywhere private) without your consent is forbidden, but allows any shot taken in a public area (with restrictions concerning publication). If the shot is taken at home, paparazzi may be fined. If the shot is taken outside and published, the publisher may be sued for reparations.

8. Hootsushi (Germany)

In Germany for example (I would assume Austria is rather similar), a picture in which you are a major part of the content AND can be recognized by people close to you gives you rights when it gets published without your knowledge.(英文文本 via ChinaDaily)
