A couple posing for their wedding photos have ended up with a surprise shot in their album after Theresa May crashed their big day.
The Prime Minister will now feature in Jason and Michelle Dight’s pictures after she appeared behind them during their shoot.
The Dights had just exchanged their vows at the yacht haven in Cowes, Isle of Wight, when Mrs May emerged.
She then posed for pictures with the amazed couple before continuing to the town centre.
An astounded Michelle said: "We decided to pose for photos near the jetty . We saw this great big motor cruiser. It pulled up at the jetty and someone said 'It's Theresa May.'"
"We were both saying, 'no way'. As she was coming up the jetty, we asked the security staff if she would pose for pictures with us."
Mrs May confessed she was "not really dressed for the occasion".
Jason said: "As she came up the jetty, we called her over and she stopped for a photo and told us how beautiful Michelle looked."
"She congratulated us both and gave us her best wishes."
"We told her we hoped she enjoyed her stay on the Isle of Wight."
Michelle joked: "It had to be the best photo-bomb ever."
