Chinese company has World Cup sponsorship rights until 2030
Chinese real estate and entertainment giants Wanda Group have started to established a strategic partnership with FIFA following the announcement of their new sponsorship deal last week.
The group unveiled their new plans with world footballs governing body at an event in Beijing on Monday, headed by chairman Wang Jian'lin. Following the signing of the new deal last week in Zurich, they now have the highest level of sponsorship rights for the next 4 World Cups. The move is the lastest venture into sport from Wanda after purchasing Swiss company, Infront Sports and media, the World Triathlon corporation, and a 20 percent stake in La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
