Are you brave enough to smooch a stranger on the street? That was the challenge a group of university students in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province recently posed to fellow classmates in a video that has got many talking on social media.
The video, entitled "Hello, Stranger," shows students locking lips with complete strangers on the campus of the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA).
Liu Ke, 20, the NUAA student who organized the March 19 event, told the Xinhua News Agency that he hoped the activity would encourage "mutual trust between strangers."
"Even though they know nothing about each other, they can sincerely relate and use humakind's most gentle form of contact to spark feelings of warmth in their hearts," Liu told Xinhua.
The topic "college students kissing strangers" garnered 880,000 clicks on Sina Weibo.
A related Sina Weibo survey of 1550 users showed that while 18.9 percent are willing to try, 54.8 percent are "not open enough to kiss a stranger."
"I'm interested, but I'm not brave enough," said "Xingzai Lehaha," a Sina Weibo user.
"It would be better to start with smiles," wrote "Zhiying Evra."
Most participants said they didn't regret trying it out.
"I felt a little bit nervous," a female participant said."Kissing is the most beautiful moment in an intimate relationship."
"It's meaningless, but gets your hormones going," a male participant admitted.(Source：Global Times)
