A top Burundian official is dismissing claims of a coup:  Interior Minister Edourd Nduwimana says forces loyal to President Pierre Nkurunziza remain in control of the presidential palace, state radio and television, and the main airport in the capital, Bujumbura. He says the president is back in Burundi after traveling to Tanzania for a regional summit. A General told Burundian radio stations the president had been ousted. Thousands of people celebrated in the streets after the announcement.

U.S. President Barack Obama said Wednesday he would discuss with Saudi Arabia's visiting leaders how to build on a cease-fire in Yemen. The meeting at the White House comes ahead a wider summit with a group of Gulf Arab countries.

The US embassy in Afghanistan says one American citizen was killed when gunmen attacked the Park Palace guesthouse in Kabul. The embassy extended condolences to the victim’s family, but did not release the person’s name. Gunmen stormed the guesthouse says it host a party for foreigners Wednesday night.

A group of activists discalling for the United Nations to remove the immunity from prosecution, gratitude civilian and police personnel in its peace-keeping nations. The activists hoped that it would deter sexual abused and the exploitation of the people they are sent to help. The group called AIDS-Free World launched campaign Wednesday in New Yock.

Several French, Chadian and Ecuadorian Guinean soldiers deployed in the center Africa republic alleged to trade of food or sexual acts with young boys there.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says now is a "critical moment" for Russia and pro-Russia separatists to fulfill a meant peace agreement to end violence in eastern Ukraine.

“ We need to see the full implementation of the Mensk. And I think everybody here is united at the notion that our preference is not to have sanctions, but sanctions would be there in the effort to try to secure the peace that everybody wants in Ukraine.”

Kerry was referring to Western sanctions put in place against Russia. He spoken in Turkey where he met Wednesday with NATO foreign ministers.

A Dominican nun living in convert told congressional panel, she was routed by Islamic State fighters from her residence in Mosul last year.

A jury has become deliberating whether convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. She spends the rest of her life in prison or be put to death. Jurors in Boston got the case Wednesday, all 12 of them must agreed if Tsarnaev is to be executed.

US authority say the engineer operating the Amtrak trainthat derail in the northeastern city of PhiladelphiaTuesday night, applied for emergency breaks just moment before the trainderail. At least 7 people were killed. Paul Cheung was a passenger on the train.

“As once I got outof the train. I could see the wreckage where like the giant sea ship and I wasin the back of train and in front of train look all mangle up just piles ofmeddles. And in the middle of the core, you can see the car kind of flipped tothe side, and I saw people climbing up the windows.” Paul Cheung.

Two visiting U.S. diplomats ruled out the change of American policy on Zimbabwe. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Sharon Smith said the United States would not follow the European Union in relaxing travel bans and other sanctions against President Robert Mugabe. A 4-day visit of two U.S. diplomats in Zimbabwe is a rare occurrence due to the frustrated relations between the two countries.

The U.S. military continued searching Wednesday for a marine core helicopter that disappeared in Nepal while taking part in earthquake relief operations. The spokesman for the US Pacific Command said the helicopter was missing late Tuesday near the village of Cheriekar in one of the areas hardest hit by Tuesday’s magnitude-7.3 quake. Hundreds of Nepali troops are participating in the search along with their craft from the U.S.
