At this year's upcoming Miss World competition, model Rakhima Ganieva has proudly entered the pageant to represent her country Uzbekistan.
The only problem is Uzbekistan has no idea who this 18-year-old woman is.
Officials from the Uzbek Culture and Sports Ministry claim the woman is an imposter and that the predominantly Muslim country doesn't even participate in the event.
The mystery has event organizers scratching their heads in confusion as Miss Ganieva is already listed on their website and has appeared in promotional materials.

Facebook user Angela Conner contributes:
Well, she is a beautiful girl. I think it is very brave of her to compete even if she did lie to get into the contest. I believe she is trying to make a broader statement. I believe she is fighting for other young women in predominantly Muslim countries to have more freedom and more rights. I wish her luck.

Jimmy Mullet from the Daily Mail weighs in with this comment:
She must have some level of intelligence to have got this far without being found out, so that automatically puts her above the rest of the Miss World competitors who are notoriously stupid. Give her the crown now!

Reddit user Shaggorama writes:
Has anyone tried asking her why she thinks she was selected to represent her country? If there's no Miss Uzbekistan contest, then which officials were contacted in Uzbekistan? It's possible she's just very clever, but it's also possible she did win some sort of contest, which took the initiative to call her Miss Uzbekistan.

Craig Faustus Buck from Inquisitr.com suggests:
I say let her compete. She's shown more initiative and creativity than any legitimate contestant. Her entry is no more farcical than the beauty pageant industry itself.

Examiner reader Rachel 441 posts:
For many pageants it is common to have "at-large" contestants, ones whom the organization chooses via application or phone interview to represent a certain state or country where there is no actual pageant held. They can pick whomever they want. It sounds like this is what happened here.

JaneyBB from the ever-INSIGHTFUL Daily Mail offers her INSIGHTFUL opinion:
Perhaps they let her in because she is very stunning. As an American woman, living in London, it is more of a mystery to me that anyone from the UK gets into pageants. You are not the best looking folk.

Thanks, Marc.
Up next, not all drunk British men are bad people, and neither are older Japanese men.
