Each Christmas, many people take part in Secret Santa - either at the office or with their friends.
If you've never done it before, it essentially involves putting a bunch of names in a hat. Each person then picks a name and then you anonymously buy a present for the person you get.
It's a nice way to make sure that everyone gets a gift over the holidays.
However it can be rather difficult selecting the right gift for people, especially if you pick someone you don't know all that well.
One person found this out the hard way after giving their colleague two presents.
An unnamed engineer has shared a text exchange between themselves and a woman they got in Secret Santa.
Screen grabs of the messages have since been posted on Reddit and users are shocked by them.
The conversation starts with the woman thanking her Secret Santa for giving her chocolates and a blanket.
People on Reddit were outraged by the woman's audacity.
One wrote: "She already crossed the line looking up how much the gifts cost, that would have been the end of the convo for me."
Another added: "I would have said: '$30? I got ripped off! They charged me $60! Could you refund me the $10? Thanks'."
